Phantasy Saturday School : ‘ A Carnival Symposium’  - researcher and archive curator (2024)
Researching and connecting with Caribbean groups, families and archivists in West and North West London to source materials for an archive space relating to Carnival and Masquerade in the Eastern Caribbean and across the UK.  This included rare photographs, journals, ephemera, correspondence, books, leaflets and more. Also conducted a workshop with visitors to the space, with prompts, to further engagement.  


Seed Archives x Explorer’s Club Studio: Open Dialogues: Dey Play vol 5 (2024)
Conceptualising and co- programming for the Tottenham-based community arts and play event’s 5th edition. The theme was ‘demistifying the Black short film scene in London’

It’s Nice That: Nicer Tuesdays (2023-June 2024)
On the programming team for It’s Nice That’s monthly talk event in London and New York, helping to bring a diverse range of creatives to the stage. During my time, I specifically researched and programmed Black British short filmmakers and graphic designers, as well as Black photographers in the  United States.


Dulwich Picture Gallery: The Past for the Present (2022-2023)
Working as a community action researcher for the gallery’s project which aimed to widen its audience to be more reflective of the community’s throughout Southwark, Lambeth and Lewisham. This included training in PAR research from Shortwork, facilitating workshops with community groups of all ages and evaluating findings. (Please note I left this project early due to internal issues)


Space Black Studios: Film Festival @ Here East (2022)
Programming and co-curating
a video archive screening including Black family community and protest videos from the 1980s and 1990s. This project had a focus on Black communties reclaiming areas, such as Hackney Wick, that had seen grave gentrification since the 2012 Olympics. We curated the space around a sound system installation and projected the video works in the new built area. (2022)
